Silent Auction Rules

All attendees of Springfest are welcome to place a bid at the Silent Auction. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, who will have ultimate approval of the child’s bid.

The Silent Auction will open for bidding on Saturday, May 15th 2010 at 10:00 am and will close at 1:15 pm.

  • Each item in the Silent Auction has a bid sheet attached to a table nearby. Under no circumstances may the Auction bid sheet be removed from the table. To make a bid on any of the items, the bidder must legibly write his or her name, phone number and bid amount on the uppermost line available.
  • All items have minimum starting bids. Each subsequent bid must equal or exceed the minimum increase stated on the bid sheet in order to constitute a valid bid. Only the Auction officials may nullify a bid.
  • When bidding is closed, the highest bidder is the purchaser. The Auction official will circle or highlight the winning bid. The bid sheets will be posted by the auction table at approximately 2:00 pm. In the event of a dispute, the Auction officials shall act as the final authority and shall determine the winning bidder.
  • Each item is sold “as is” and all sales are final. Purchasers are bound by the restrictions specified by the donor.
  • Payment by the successful bidder must be made immediately following the end of the Auction, once the bid forms have been organized and the Auction Payment table is open to collect payment. (Items must be picked up before 3:00pm) in the Gymnasium. (Items cannot be held). Only Cash or Cheque will be accepted.

Happy Bidding!
